Consultations
The Go-Healthcare service provides telephone consultations between GPs and members at any time, whenever needed. The process is similar to calling an out-of-hours GP service or NHS Direct. When members join Go-Healthcare a brief medical history is taken.
The difference then, is that unlike the out of hours service or NHS Direct/NHS 24 etc, your medical details are available to the Go-Healthcare GP via the Go-Healthcare members’ database every time you call. In this way, your medical history, current medication and other relevant information is available at the time of the consultation so you dont have to go over them again and again and it means we get to know you so we can give you the best and most up to date treatment available - for you.
There are no limits to the number of consultations you can have as a member. Go-Healthcare is designed to provide ease of access and peace of mind for the diagnosis and treatment of minor conditions such as infections or pain or when you generally just feel unwell. It works to the same treatment guidelines and high standards as all NHS GPs but offers much more in so many ways.
As part of the service, members are also able to consult with a GP via the Internet (Skype, Webcam) where necessary to help determine the best treatment. See also the Medication section to find out how Go-Healthcare and Go-Pax™ Box work in tandem to provide a full healthcare service.
